Cozy Game Restoration Demo Patch 6: Autocomplete and Languages
Demo Patch 6 (14 October 2026) fixed autocomplete to fire at 99% per layer, added the Tier 1 language set and raised starting cash for slots.
What did Demo Patch 6 change?
Three things, all of them fixes rather than new content:
- Autocomplete moved to a per-layer 99% rule. It used to fire on an averaged 99.5% across all layers, which could leave a visible patch of dirt on a cartridge that read as finished. Now every layer has to be at 99% or higher, and the toggle lives in Accessibility if you prefer to finish by hand.
- Languages expanded. The Tier 1 set plus several extras shipped in the demo: English, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, both Chinese variants, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Belarusian, Catalan, Czech and Spanish (Latin America). The store page now lists 18 languages.
- More starting cash. Players could not afford both slot unlocks and parcels, so the demo grants more money up front. The developer also said saves will be reset in the full game, because demo cart rarity is skewed mid-to-late.
Why does the autocomplete fix matter?
Because the completion check is per layer. A cartridge can look clean at your camera angle and still be blocked by one stubborn patch, which is exactly what the averaged rule allowed. The fix makes “done” mean done — and it pairs with the UV torch trail added in the 1 October build. Both are covered on the cleaning tools page.
Are the demo patch notes still relevant after launch?
As history, yes: they are the clearest record of what changed between the Next Fest build and the release build. As current numbers, no — the demo limits (three in-game days, seven cartridges, upgrades locked at $9,999) do not exist in the full game. See demo versus full game for the differences.
The full timeline, including patches 1 to 4 earlier in October, is on the patch notes page. For what to do with the tools in practice, start with the restoration workflow.
