Cozy Game Restoration Release Date and Unlock Time
Cozy Game Restoration unlocks on 4 November 2026 on Steam. Here is how the store date, the unlock countdown and timezones line up.
When does Cozy Game Restoration come out?
Steam lists the game as “Planned Release Date: 4 Nov, 2026”, and the store page carries a live unlock countdown in place of a buy button. There is no pre-purchase option: the page currently says the game “is not yet available on Steam”, so the first purchasable moment is the unlock itself.
The store date and the developer’s announcement look like they disagree. They don’t. In the 7 August 2026 Steam announcement, Adam of Parasol Corp moved the game from 24 September to “November 5th”. He schedules in Australian time — the earlier playtest went live at “7AM Melbourne (Australia) time” — and 5 November in Australia is 4 November in UTC. Steam renders the date in your own timezone, so parts of the world see 4 November and parts see 5 November for one single launch.
What time is the unlock in my timezone?
Steam’s countdown is the only source that adapts to your clock, so read it instead of converting by hand. What you can plan around:
- The unlock is a single global moment, not a rolling regional release.
- Store pages that show a date only give you the day your timezone lands on.
- The demo is playable now, so you can learn the tools before the launch build goes live.
If the countdown hits zero and the page still shows a coming-soon state, refresh once — store pages cache the old state for a few minutes.
Was the game delayed?
Yes, once, and it was announced openly. The original date was 24 September 2026. On 7 August 2026 the developer pushed it back roughly six weeks to November, saying the extra time was for balancing and quality-of-life work rather than new features.
The final demo on 1 October 2026 was part of that stretch: the demo patches between 1 and 14 October added the language list, the autocomplete threshold and a higher starting cash amount, all fixes that carry into the launch build.
What ships on day one?
The launch build is the full version of the game: 108 distinct cartridge titles, the quest set, the collection room and the shelf bonus systems. See what the demo does and does not include if you have already played it, and price and platforms for the store details.
Two things are already settled:
- Windows and macOS builds ship at launch. A Linux build is not on the store; the demo ran on Linux through Proton.
- The game is designed around Steam Deck, and the developer has said it will be tuned for a wide range of PCs.
Does the launch build keep demo progress?
No. The developer said saves will be reset in the full game, because the demo hands out mid-to-late-game rarity carts that would distort a fresh collection. Treat the demo as practice: everything you learned about the tools and the cleaning layers transfers, the save does not.
What should I do before launch?
- Wishlist the game on Steam so the unlock shows up in your library queue.
- Play the final demo and finish the tutorial, including the collection room half — it teaches the shelf and decoration basics in about half an hour.
- Read how to read a dirty cartridge so the first parcel on launch day is not your first lesson in grime layers.
Launch-day patch notes will land on the patch notes page, which currently tracks the demo patches and will switch to the full game at unlock.
