Cozy Game Restoration Cartridge Collection: 108 Titles

How the Cozy Game Restoration cartridge collection is structured: 108 titles, PAL/NTSC regional variants, randomised condition, rarity and shells.

How many cartridges are there?

108 distinct titles, described by the developer as inspired by classics from the 1980s to early 2000s. Every title also has a PAL and an NTSC regional variant, which means the shelf can hold the same game twice with different shells, artwork and rarity behaviour.

Condition is procedurally generated per cartridge: stats, dirt and visual traits are randomised, so two copies of the same title are not the same object. Some arrive with clean labels and cracked shells, others scuffed, drawn on or covered in adhesive residue.

What are the rarity tiers?

Five bands, visible in the collection-room rarity panel of the official store screenshots: Regular, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary. The panel shows tomorrow’s roll as percentages, so rarity is partly forecast rather than pure luck on the parcel.

Shell material is a separate signal on top of the tier — the store page describes gold shells and shells “made of gold (or better)”, and the developer’s posts reference epic carts explicitly.

Cartridges also belong to platform families, and the shelf bonus panel groups its price bonuses by them. The families named in the store screenshots are SUPER16, GAMEFRIEND, GALAXIS16, SILICON64, NEBULA and GREYBOX1.

Because rarity is rolled per cartridge, the practical collection goal is not “one of each title” but “one of each title in a condition and variant worth displaying”. Shelf bonuses key off genre and rarity, so a high-rarity duplicate can be more valuable than a fresh common.

Collection table

The per-title list is not published before launch. Instead of inventing rows, this table records the columns to fill as titles are confirmed.

Title Region Rarity Shell Notes
Not yet confirmed PAL / NTSC Regular → Legendary plastic, gold, better condition is randomised per cartridge

Rows get added after 4 November 2026, when the launch build makes the catalogue visible. Anything published before then is speculation, including “complete collection” lists — see release date and unlock time.

How do I track a collection in progress?

Three things are worth recording per cartridge once the game is out:

  1. Title and region — the variant is a distinct slot, and PAL/NTSC shells clean differently at the ridges.
  2. Rarity and shell material — the two signals that feed shelf bonuses.
  3. Condition blockers — layers you could not finish with your current tools, so you can revisit instead of re-buying.

The game itself keeps the catalogue and the shelf visible; a written list is for planning purchases and spotting gaps, not for duplicating what the booklet already shows.

What do I do with duplicates?

Three uses, in order of value:

  • Shelf stacking — same-genre, high-rarity carts stacked together push the related tool property up. This is the mechanic the developer compares to kart wheels and bodies.
  • Quest completion — quests ask for counts by genre and rarity (“two rare platformers”), so duplicates of the right genre finish quests.
  • Room display — decorations and furniture decide what you see daily; duplicates let you keep the display you like and the bonuses you need.

See collection room for shelf mechanics and quests and rewards for what the quests pay out.
